📍 Live Online (recording available for 90 days)
Live Online Webinar with Monique Mitchelson
Neurodivergent Clinical Psychologist, Co-Director of Divergent Futures, Author & Podcast Co-Host
In this live 3-hour webinar, Monique Mitchelson examines the co-occurrence of Autism, ADHD & BPD – discussing and answering the question:
Borderline Personality Disorder vs Autism and ADHD: Is it Either or Both and what do we do about it?
Due to increased understanding and research on gender bias and stereotypes, along with the neurodiversity affirming movement in psychology becoming best practice, there has been a rise in diagnosis of Autism and ADHD, especially in women and gender diverse folk. This has led to further understanding of the co-occurrence of Autism and ADHD with BPD, as well as misdiagnosis of BPD in Autistic & ADHD folk — particularly those with complex trauma and PTSD.
You’ll learn:
What the latest research tells us about BPD, Autism and ADHD
About co-occurrence and misdiagnosis of BPD when there are neurodevelopmental differences
Differential diagnosis
Considerations for adapting treatments
such as DBT for neurodivergent people with co-occurring BPD
To shift from working with a mental health lens to a neurodevelopmental disability lens
This webinar is for:
Mental health clinicians
This presentation will encourage practitioners to engage in clinical reflection and practice shifts from working with a mental health lens to a neurodevelopmental disability lens.
Recording available for 90 days after the session
